Not really a big fan of any of them. It looks like it will be like 2004 and a vote against some one rather than for some one.......

In modern elections, it's always a choice between bad and worse. The only way to make sure the person who's running is exactly what you want is to make sure you're that person.
To add to what you're saying, we really only get to know the candidates' stands on the big issues -- the war, health care, etc. Those certainly affect the country, but the little things that sort of get glossed over almost affect the country more. I would personally love a complete, unabridged platform from each of the candidates so I can choose who I know for certain is the best -- but they don't have time for that among all their publicity appearances.

Agreed. At least with Kucinich and Paul you get men who haven't stratigically changed position on political issues for election purposes. Both men have been steadfast in their ideals since Day 1 and deserve praise for it.
I don't agree with all the stances that either candidate has, but support them because they are steadfast in their beliefs.

You know whats good about this election though is it will get a lot of people out of the way. Hopefully by the next election there will be a fresh new group of people on both sides.

I like all of the Democratic party candidates. Paul is the only republican party candidate that isn't campaigning from fantasy land.

The front runners are a frightening batch. I like the idea of Kucinich and Ron Paul.

I honestly like Fred Thompson. He stands for mostly everything I am looking for in a leader for our nation.
If you are really desperate to find a candidate, I humbly suggest you take the time to look into Fred. He fits quite a bit of what you talk about here.

Every election, it seems like we are choosing between the lesser of two evils! In my heart I know there real leaders in the US. How do we get them to run?

The two party liberal agenda is the enemy. How can you treat the sickness if you do not diagnose it properly? Oppose anything and anyone liberal whether there's a (D) or an (R) by their name. Tackle the beast.
