Ummm, how are progressives dividing the country? Got Proof? Sorry to inform you but Bush is in charge of the country and it is his policies that have been dividing the country for the last 6 years. Progressives aren't socialist nor are they totalitarian. That would a total contradiction to what they believe in and how they conduct their personal lives. It's time you learned that fact. Afterall, who are the people that burned music C.D's of muscians and artists who criticized Bush. Those are more of the actions of totalitarian minds than any progressive ever thought of doing or acting.

Economics divides us, not politics. Politics keeps us divided since conservatives don't want to fix the economics because they profit the most from the inequality.
Democracy gives people the power to make economics work for all.

What the fossil record shows is sudden bursts of all manner of animals, modest change, and then sudden and total extinction. Dinosaurs appeared, lived for 150 million years, and then disappeared, only to be quickly replaced by mammals. Neither the creation or extinction of dinosaurs was accomplished by a gradual process of any sort!
