I dont know if this is a relevant answer because i think your question is more philosophical, but light is always getting bounced off everything it hits, because if you are a photon, then everything is immovable to you, and you are a kind of unstoppable force, kinda

Nothing would "happen" -- it's a meaningless question. Neither of the two is permitted to exist, or is even logically feasible... at least in this universe.

this sounds like a philosophical question,
in real physics, something would stop, or something would move, or something would get crushed, or melted or otherwise move out of the way.
