I t should be spelled Braelyn.
I say this because if people would get confused with the hyphen and your daughter would have to tell everyone that it isn't just Brae, it's Brae-Lynn.

love brae names
Braelyn, Briely, Brielle
I like Braelyn, the way you spelled it made it look like a last name

I think its all right. Maybe like the first name is Braycey but for sort Bray and then the middle name is Lynn and she calls herself Braylynne, or BraeLyn

Not particularly. It reminds me of a donkey, you know, 'bray'. And I'm not too fond of names that end with Lynn. They're so, it's like they suggest a little girl with pigtails who's missing her two front teeth and always says things like 'golly-gee' and is overly perky and cheerleaderish.

Ok, its a bit much to interpret into a name, but well, there's my opinion. *shrug*. I hope I haven't offended anyone who goes by the name of Brae-Lynn (or Bralynn or Bralen or whatever).

Can't say I care for it. A recently-created jumble of sounds with absolutely no history as a name ... not to mention the obvious similarity to the word "braying" -- as in, what a donkey might do -- and literal root "bray/brae" (originally from the Irish braigid, meaning "he breaks wind" LOL).

Sadly, I'm not trying to be rude or even humorous. This is all true. http://mw1.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bray http://www.behindthename.com/name/braelyn

I'd basically avoid any name -- especially a made-up one -- beginning with any of the popular Bray-, Jay- or Kay- sounds, especially if it also ends in the equally-trendy -lyn(n) suffix (where not traditionally intended). Thousands of children are being given that exact handful of rhyming names, but they simply aren't my style at all.

It's OK. It sounds too much like Brayden though. I don't like the spelling. Braylyn or Braylin might be better.

No. It's too complicated and, IMHO, an unsophisticated choice.
