Yes it certainly can if your love for that person is real and true. I met mine (girlnamedmaria) on yahoo last year and she and I are meant for each other. It wasn't easy as she lived in Illinois and I live in Georgia over 550 miles away from each other. It was hard being apart for long periods of time but now our patience paid off as we are together here in Georgia and very happy being together.

long distance relationships require more work but yes it can as long as you work hard at keeping it together.

yes it can if you are honest and trusting and trust worthy. my husband and me met in a chat room, the first 6 months of our relationship was long distance. we fell in love nonetheless and now are married for almost 6 years now.

we lived nearly 2200 miles apart when we were dating.

Questions were done on people who met here and actually made it work. Some said they were living together now, some said they were dating and two had finally gotten married. It does happen more than people believe.

yes, if you truly love someone distance shouldn't matter, it takes more effort to make the relationship work, but true love is worth it. ♥

I live 45 minutes from my bf--that's as long a distance as I can handle. Any more than that wouldn't work for me.

Yes, I believe they can. Both of you have to be completely devoted to each other to work but if you are it will work
