My ex-girl friend had issued a restarining order (RO) against me ordering me not to contact her or her children. She had done so in hope to destroy my security clearance as a revenge of me leaving her.
The judge had granted a RO for ONE year.
The RO has expired last month without any violations.
What and how should be able to remove this RO from my records?
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
PS. It seems that anyone can fill an RO agains anyone these days.......

You're going to have to contact an attorney and inquire about an expungement. The previous guy was not correct in his statement that once it's in the court record it cannot be removed. That is not exactly true. A record of the legal transaction does remain, but the outcome can be hidden from public view. Such things are called expungements. Your attorney will know exactly what I'm talking about. Now just because you petition the court to have the record expunged does not mean they will say yes, but it is your recourse for cases such as these. If the judge rules in your favor they issue what is called an "Expungement Order" to all affiliated agencies, ordering the record sealed. The order does remove it from coming up in searches, but the sealed record can be reopened by a judges order should it be necessary.

Unless it was filed against you when you were under 18 it will always be on your record. And no, Judges do not just issue them without some proof.

Court records are permanent. There will always be a record of the TRO.
