Science has a robust theory that says we evolved over millions of years from earlier forms of life.
Some religions have a dogma that says we were created in situ from nothing.
My sensibilities tell me that both are on to something. Clearly all life on our planet evolves and it is all based on the same basic chemistry. All living things fit nicely into taxonomies that classify similarities and differences among species. But just as clearly the mechanisms of life, evolution, and increasing diversity in an entropic universe are astronomically likely. Nothing explains consciousness. It suggest purpose.
We come from a long, unbroken line of DNA. We exist because of God.

Physically, our bodies and brains came partly from our human parents.
Our unchanging Personality is a direct Gift from the Paradise Father-Infinite I AM; we are each an "I am of I AM and we may each freely choose to also be "I am in I AM"
There are at least 4 Spirits of God upon and within us; email me for that. Too complex for here.
Our potential spiritual being --ever ascending into the I AM is a direct gift from our space-time Universe Creator Jesus Christ Michael. He only died physically on the cross in AD30; had His Spirit Personality died, then our whole universe would have disappeared and you and I would not be now existent !
Our Spirit Origin is in the Father-Son Union of Jesus Christ (Christ Michael) and our Destiny is the same with ever more comprehensions of the One Father-Infinite I AM as Revealed continually by our Sovereign Maker Jesus Christ Michael.
To us, HE IS I AM; I am eternally Certain by personal auto-Revelation and Epochal Revelation.
