He and I have both been snowboarding for about 10 years...
on the other hand
We both have very stressful careers and it might be nice to get away for a weekend.

I would go with the season pass. The weekend will be over and done, but the season pass will be available whenever you both are.

Weekend away works for me cause people need that one on one to keep the bond together !
