Identify the type of transformation given by this rule..

M(x,y)=(x,-y)


and



V(x,y)=(x,y-1)


please help i really dont understand this and i had a substitute teacher today!=[

x stays the same but y becomes -y, so this is a reflection across the x-axis.

x stays the same but y has on subtracted from it. So the entire graph of the function is moved downward 1 unit. It is a translation.
