-You don't have to go out (maybe in the pouring rain) to go shopping for lunch.
-Hot food can be served on the go and at it's correct temperature.(Same for cold)
-You don't have to be in the lunch rush/queues.
-All the staff ca gather together and eat at the risk of not being late on the way back.

workers can eat there and get back to work quicker, and that means higher production, no? Also, they can eat there if they normally don't bother to eat because they don't want to leave and come back. This could also result in higher production in the fact that the workers are getting energy and can work better.
