I was 25 when I had my daughter and I worked up until the day I had her. If you have no complications, I think you should keep on working. It's good to keep your energy up and keep you entertained. If you stayed home, you would get bored real fast. Plus after you have the baby, you are going to want to have time off. The only problem you may have is back pains but that won't happen until you are further along and if your job isn't that strenuous, you should be ok. Oh and if your job requires heavy lifting, you should ask to be transferred to a different department because lifting heavy things while being pregnant is bad for the baby. Good luck!

I work in xray and am walking constantly all over the hospital and department. I also had to help lift and transfer patients and do CPR. I still took my call and everything. I worked right on up to labor. I worked a 10 hr shift the day before my water broke (at 37 wks). Most of the nurses I work with work right on up to labor. There were times I would be running so much I would get sharp lower abdominal pains, so then I would rest, but now I have a healthy 6 mo old baby boy.

Of course working is fine.
You shouldn't feel any pain if the pregnancy is going ok!
Just don't lift anything heavy, don't do anything too strenuous and don't do any jobs that require you to stand for a long period of time (standing, plus the extra weight of your tummy will make your legs and ankles swell).
Desk work/sitting down is probably best, but make sure you get up regularly and stretch your legs and back.
Depending on how long you get for maternity leave (in the UK,you're usually required to quit working at 7 to 8 months pregnant and return after the baby is 3 months old),you should be fine to work for most of your pregnancy.

No, working while pregnant is fine, it could possibly give you exercise that is actually healthy for you during pregnancy. I think you can work up to your 6-7th month to be quite honest. Alot of women even walk around alot right before their due date so it gets the baby into position a little easier and doctors have women do it while their at the hospital to speed the process up a little bit. But this early in your pregnancy it's completely fine....unless you want an excuse NOT to work for your husband...then he can easily believe that.

If you've had a relatively trouble free pregnancy (no bleeding, etc) it should be ok to do most things, possibly not too much standing around (as it encourages swollen ankles and varicose veins) although walking keeps you fit. I worked in a nursery (up and down stairs, cleaning, lifting babies/toddlers up till 6 months pregnant. Pregnancy isn't an illness (although it might feel like it sometimes!). Exercise keeps you fit and prepares your body better for the birth.

It is between you and your Dr. I am an EMT and worked until my 6th month on the road then moved into dispatch.I am 33 weeks along and plan on working till the day i give birth. Keeping active is a great thing for you and your baby. Plus it will help make your delivery easier! And after a long day i can also guilt my husband into giving me a back or foot rub.

I guess it would depend on if you have a dangerous job. Alot of women work until a few days before they give birth. Unless there is a medical reason and the Dr. puts you off you should be able to work.

there is no reason you can not work unless your doc tells you not too. ask long as you arent lifting heavy stuff or things like that. it will not complicate your pregnancy, being on your feet and moving around is better for you than sitting around and doing nothing. just whatever your job requires do not over do it, drink plenty of liquids and rest and sit when needed and you will be fine

any easy going jobs like, office with mediocre - low stress involved.
I work for a software firm and the job is pretty much laid back.
If you have a desk job, make sure to get up occassionally and walk around, also get something to put you feet up on, to avoid swelling.
Avoid any kind of risky jobs, like xtray tech, ER, stress ful receptionist/ call-center, excessive travelling jobs, and jobs like construction and no way should you be doing any heavy lifting.

not too many women have the option of NOT working at that point in their pregnancy. Just dont lift anything heavy and if you work on your feet, try and take breaks to sit down and rest.
