Restaurant that does the most for a birthday?

I know OCharleys used to bring out a cake but they dont have that anymore.. I know Olive Graden used to, do they still? What about Red Lobster? I just want somewhere that catually DOES something for a birthday. Also, these are two seperate occassions, but what is a romantic restaurant to go to for a birthday?

I think red lobster and olive garden do so go to whichever you like better

Buca di Beppo can be pretty rough on someone if you ask them to. Even the basics usually involves the person shaking their butt and dancing in the middle of the room. They have a decent cocktail area for a crowd to meet up at before seating. Depending how big your group is you might need to reserve a table early though... They also do well for your other interest with their dessert sampler, which is pretty much basically one serving of every dessert they have, and it comes out on this barge of a platter that gets attention from all the other tables.

I will never go to Red Lobster again. My 81-year-old stepfather wanted his birthday party there and they refused to give us a reservation and he had to stand and wait.

I even wrote corporate, begging, due to his age (and this guy spent tons of money at the place and was a good customer).
They told me to pound sand, in essence.

I never liked the place anyway, but that really soured me on it.

El Torito's still does the singing and birthday desert. They will also give the birthday meal for free, but you have to show ID that shows your birthday is today.
