This year. I know for sure that both these teams got a lot of talent. People underrate them and I think that both these teams can be a showstopper. What do you think?

both young teams with amazing potential in the future, (so long as they keep their young future stars) YES. This year's stanley cup contenders. NO. You have to remember there's other teams out there, powerhouses like Ottawa for example who we're in the same position as these teams 10 years ago. Full of young talent but no experience. You have to give these young guns time to develop their game. No way will Pittsburgh or Columbus be able to pull it off against teams who have just as much talent as them and are more experienced. They'll have to compete against the likes of Detroit, Ottawa, Buffalo, and New Jersey before they can claim Lord Stanley.

The regular season is over. You will have to wait several months before the schedule for next season is released. The teams are in different conferences, meaning that they will play each other once or at most twice. If the teams only play each other once, there is no guarantee that they will even play a game in Columbus next season. So it could be a while.

Not a chance.

Columbus stands about as much chance of making the playoffs as you have of making Columbus. While they have star value on the offence with Nash and Zherdev, and to a lesser extend an aging Fedorov, their defence and goaltending is sub-par by NHL standards. Hitchcock only has so much ability to infuse into the team. The rest will have to come from the team's talent pool themselves. The two games I saw Columbus play in the pre-season left a lot to be desired.

Pittsburgh is a goalie away from being a threat for the Cup. Just about every expert has placed a question mark on Fleury and his ability to handle the workload and still guide this team to the promised land. Outside of the net, this is a great young team with a lot of talent. Mario and the rest of the ownership team is going to have to look at creative financing to find a home for these players.

Mario was quite jovial this weekend actually, a pleasure to be around for once. I've not always been able to say that about him.

give it 4-8 years. I just can't see Pittsburgh making it past the first round this year, and Columbus would have to whip out a miracle just to make the playoffs.

I think it will be Ottawa vs San Jose

Pittsburgh might play someone, but frankly the Cleveland Cavaliers have a better chance of playing in the Stanley Cup Finals than the Blues.

The Stanley Cup is too small to play hockey in.

Yes, but I also think that professional wrestling is real and that the Wizard of Oz is a true story.
