How do I create the "links" when passing information to a forum?

I participate in an occupational forum online. How do I create links, the blue highlighted URLs to share information with others at my forum?

Each forum is different, but with most you can use one of the following ways:

Text for Link

or

http://www.link_here.com

On every forum I use the following code works. (Search for BBCode for more information)

[url] http://www.web-starters.net/ [/url]

or if you want to change the text displayed then it would be:

[url=http://www.web-starters.net] Visit Web Starters [/url]
