1) Bio-diversity: The huge diverse of flora and fauna as plant life and the animals so diverse in nature in land, water and air!
2) Diversity in human: Nationality, languages, colour, caste, creed, ethnicity, genetic built up, religion, etc
3) Diversity in knowledge: So diverse is the knowledge sector that what all we have as books to read and understand can't be read and understood even by reading for million years!
Diversity in matter and energy as seen in the universe and other forms of diversity are not viewed and explained and left to you to make it on your own!

Diversity in the context I think you are looking for - is about appreciating the differences of race,culture,religion,gender, sexual orientation etc within society and being able to deal even handedly with the issues that arise.
