Selling Computers?

Question

I was just wondering if anybody knew where i could sell my computer - screen the hardrive thing (everything).

Ebay but the shipping will kill you..esp if its a tube monitor. You MIGHT want to look at donating to a daycare or school. If its of any age at all you'll be depressed what its worth and maybe a tax deduction might be easier. You also want to make sure your data is off the drive, you might even consider formatting the drive and reinstalling the software.

There are many places you can sell your computer. One of the main places would be eBay. The problem with selling it on eBay is that you have to figure out the shipping cost, which can be a lot of money for a computer plus the cost for the listing. Then you also need to know all the details of the computer for the listing, so that you don't end up with people asking a bunch of questions or looking over your listing because you didn't give the right details. The good thing about eBay, it that it is very easy to use for a simple listing.
You could try your local paper, these can actually be very expensive but you don't have to worry so much about shipping, just about where you will meet the person to make the transfer.
One other suggestion is Craigslist, there you can find someone locally, who you can communicate with about your computer and workout what kind of deal you want for it. Ctraigslist isn't perfect but it can be a less expensive option.

Put an ad in the paper in the classifieds and also talk to friends and ask them if they know of anyone who would like to buy a nice computer and the type that it is and let them know the price that you are selling it for.

Computers on ebay usually do not sell that well due to shipping cost. I would try craigslist or a local paper.

Tell your friends, they might know another friend who want to buy one.
