I am in upstate WNY and think there are so many mixed neighborhoods. All areas have some bad parts though, why not ask what good ones there are?? Buffalo is a city and full of crime, but a lot of suburbs are very friendly and peaceful.

**Good answers, actually yahoo did a article not to long ago and 3-4 locations of upstate NY were in there.

Kenmore, Town of Tonawanda, Williamsville, Clarence, Orchard Park, West Seneca, Hamburg, Blasdell all are nice areas:) **

Oh come one go farther up state than that! Rome, Utica, Clinton, Herkimer are ALL crappy places to raise kids as there is an overabundance of gang activity in those cities since they tend to "downgrade" the importance of choices for kids in those areas. If you want good schools steer clear of these areas as well.

why are you asking this question to Yahoo and not to a real estate person in upstate NY?

Hey...the further the temperature drops up there the more people with less teeth in their heads reside.

Upstate NY makes the Beverly Hillbillies look like they're sopshisticated.
