Ok everyone, I'm so confused and getting upset but I don't want to stress myself out because it will make it worse.
I am pretty regular, when I was 7 days late, I got a blood test and got the results back the next day, negative. So I gave up hope and waited for my period. Never got it. Now I'm 12 days late. Took a hpt, I got a false reading I think. Only one line but the control line was dotted instead of solid. I thought for sure I was going to get my period since the negative blood test because it sure feels like it, but nothing. Any advice? Has anyone ever had a false blood test. I've heard of a few that has but I'm going on 2 weeks late and just confused.

The chances of having a " false negative" blood test are soooo minute. The blood is the most exact way to find out about pregnancy and your baby. So if you do a negative the chances of you still being pregnant are extremely small. I'd make an appt for a pap and pelvic to find out what is going on with your period. Even very regular women skip their periods every now and again. I am very regular and once totally skipped my period and my doc said that this is common.

Just because you are late you arent necessarily pregnant. Other things can cause this also. Wait another week or two and take another test. Nothing is totally 100% accurate. Mistakes are made in labs all the time.

that is exactly what is happening to me right now. Except im just finish a weekof being late. and i didnt have abdominal cramping but nothing yet. I talked to my doctor and she wants me to wait another week and try another blood test. sometme when you conceive it takes a while to build the hormone in your body that the test reads to see if your prego. dont worry.. im stressed out alot which is prob making it worse, i just started nursing school and only 19.. i really dont need a child now!

I would call the doctors office back, and take another HPT. If your not pregnant then there is some other reason why you haven't gotten your period and your doctor may want to find out why.
