The engine sounds fine no noises and it runs fine, and its just past the emissions in the MOT, Ive tried ingector cleaner in the fuel, but thats not helped. It only smokes(Black) when I put my foot down or it struggles up hills???

Check your valve guide seals. This is a very common problem with mitsubishi engines. What happens is the seals dry up and no longer seal properly. When this happens, oil gets into the cylinders and is burnt during combustion.

I assume your car also smokes heavily when you first start it in the morning as well as during heavy acceleration?

its not oil, if it was oil you would have blueish smoke, white smoke is water, black means you are running kinda rich, and you probably have some carbon built up in the engine . dodge has some stuff called mopar combustion chamber cleaner, it works great for that.

Check your turbe pipe, the jubilee clip thats holds it may have come off.
