and B&N, too. Under a pseudonym.

I know this guy who coauthored a book. How I met him is not as a book writer but from somewhere else. He's just an acquaintance.

Well, the giveaway was that this fake name was listed under the main reviews and marketplace sellers section where it had the author's real address!

Can this author be that stupid to do that? I wonder if other ppl have noticed this.

The writing is very similar to the B&N review.

It really shows his maturity which is not very high.

Canadian_mom, I can usually tell it's them, too! I'm highly intuitive.

You can tell the author is making a desperate attempt to sell his own book by trying hard to write in a manner that is at a level far lower for his (middle) age. It's written in a teenager-y style. What comes thru is an immature vibe.

Both Amazon and B&N are written in the same style.

If I wrote a book, I'd never write my own review.

Insecurity
Perhaps a need to explain why other people should like his book.

They might just be trying to get the ball rolling... start a dialogue.

I would assume that every author is a fan of their own work or they wouldn't have written it so it doesn't bother me if they critique their own work but I have to say, I can usually tell it's them.

A desperate attempt to get noticed, a desperate attempt to get attention, or both.
