Personally, nothing worked for me. Lots of sex, long walks, hot baths and hot hot curry didn't work, but just be patient, in the next 2 weeks at the very most you'll be holding your new baby! I went overdue with my first 2 by 12 and 10 days(they only arrived after induction), and I'm 40 weeks gone today with no signs of labour. Its not nice, I know, but just hang in there! Pregnancy does not last forever, no matter how much it feels like it will!

My daughter was two weeks late and I feel for you! You shouldn't push it, but there are some natural ways to potentially speed it up. For one, sperm has been said to stimulate the uterus. I know it sounds weird and you're probably not in the mood, but maybe "get down" with your husband/boyfriend? If that doesn't work (or you just really don't want to), several herbs are known to induce. You could get some essential oils and add them to a nice warm bath (even if it doesn't work, it'll feel good!). Possible choices are Lavender, Jasmine, Juniper, Clary Sage, Marjoram, Basil, Arnica and Fennel. Hope that helps!

Check with your doctor. When I was 35 weeks with my twins, I was in such pain my blood pressure was rising and I wasn't eating. She suggested I be induced and I jumped at the chance. Hang in there, I've been there and I know it's hard. (My doc also said no foot massages as it can induce labor in some women.)

a good walk,if you can, may help a bit. keep as active as possible and busy yourself with things. before you know it, you'll be in labor. the worst thing to do is sit and think about it. just makes the time seem longer. these things may not actually cause you to start labor but they'll make the time pass more quickly. best of luck.

Other People might not like this but Im going to be completely honest here... With my first child I took 2 tblspn of Castrol Oil ( found in laxative isle of pharmacy ) and within 5 hours I was in labor having contractions... Needless to say it was safe and i had my son. I was told of it by a few of friends that i know of who used it themselves. But just like the other answers, sex and walking can help it too...!! Good Luck!!!!

I understand you are uncomfortable but you have to be patient. I'd try walking and cleaning. I am sure if you go much longer the doctor may induce they don't like you to go to much over due.

You need to call your doctor if you're seriously that unstable emotionally.
Nobody is comfortable or happy at the end of pregnancy, but if you're overwhelmed and can't stop the crying and hysterics, you could very well be clinically depressed, and your doctor needs to know. Call the office TODAY.
