...hitting his crash cymbal and letting his drumstick fly out into the audience? If you weren't paying attention, you could lose an eye!
Name the drummer, and the well known US band he played with!

The last time I posted this it went into voting, and was answered incorrectly. Sorry, I wasn't paying attention.

By the way, when this drummer let his sticks fly out into the crowd, he did it intensionally. It was almost expected at every show!

I feel a little sheepish about posting an answer here because I was wrong the first time Chunga asked this question....but I need the 2 points.

(Shameless.)

You're referring to Corky Laing of Mountain, best known for "Mississippi Queen."

Speaking of which, I need to play hooky from work and go commune with the river. It's too nice to sit in an office today.

Rush's drummer's name is Neil Peart, and he's got some extremely sure hands, so I don't think it was him...
I did see a band years back called 'The Firm', and the drummer was Chris Slade. He let fly with a drumstick once when I saw them live...
But I don't know if he's Canadian...

That would be Corky Laing from Mountain. Later had a band going with Jack Bruce and Leslie West. Mountain had previously covered Bruce's "Theme From An Imaginary Western" from "Mountain Climbing" which also featured "Mississippi Queen",a riff Jimi said he would have 'killed' for.

i replaced into going to hold off in this one because of fact it looked too glaring (or in step with danger i'm flat out incorrect): Neil Peart, who's back traveling with Rush. unusual. They have been on the city in basic terms a pair of weeks in the past, and as quickly as I drove by ability of the auditorium there replaced into nary a guy or woman below 40 interior the gang. and then on the same time as i replaced into waiting for a pal, I observed his autobiography on the nearby Barnes and Noble, "Ghost Rider." I browsed via it and it replaced into particularly much too painful to study. yet he's particularly much particularly much as good a author as he's a drummer.

Rush is a Canadian band, so Neil Peart is out, but I don't know who it could be.
