Pain was never there, but the laughter remains!
Having been there with my own fandom, you never get over it. 22 years later I still want to wring Don Dinkenger's neck for missing the out call in Game 6 of the 1985 World Series. I'm betting if Bill Buckner CAUGHT the ground ball for the last out in 1986, Boston and Mets fans would have different views 2 decades later. It's part of the greiving process. Just think, while you're screaming 1964 at Phillies fans, they can be screaming 2007 back at you.

You're kidding, right? I'm still mad with Rick Sutcliffe, Terry Pendelton , Joaquin Andujar and Mike Scioscia. Don't even get me started on Yadier Molina. If you're a true fan, pain stays with you forever.
I'm not sure about Willie, actually. I had been of the opinion that it wasn't his fault the bullpen collapsed and Reyes stopped hitting, but then again, the rest of the team didn't seem to respond to the situation, and that is something the manager is responsible for.
Princehillsaint, you say you've been a fan at least since 1985, but it was my Yadier comment you noticed? Anyway, the Mets had already tied Game 6 in 1986 when Buckner booted the ball, so that would have just ended the inning, not the game or series.
