I can't understand this move. Was he bad with the 'Fins?
And isn't anyone better than Harrington?

Obviously, after yesterday's game, his knee is fine.

Culpepper was slated to make something like $5.5 mil this year with Miami plus he was due another chunk of a signing bonus and he still hadn't proven he could play again. Miami did the smart thing. As far as his knee and his abilities I wouldn't go crazy yet. He played OK against a Miami D that has been struggling. Even watching him run yesterday it is obvious he has lost the speed he once had and we already know he is not much a passing QB.

It might just be that he didnt fit into their system. With their offensive line crumbling every five seconds and culpepper's fumblitis issues it wasnt going to work. Maybe they were just not patient enough to wait for him to be 100%. The loss of Ricky Williams still haunts the Fins. The lack of a running game made them one dimensional and that dimension wasnt very good either.

He was released first off, but the reason they let him go is b/c the Dolphins wanted Trent Green in a QB to fit Cam Cameron's offense and it just didn't seem to work out for him with his knees and didn't impress anyone while he was a Fin.

He wasen't traded he was cut. Miami got nothing in return.
They thought he wouldn't or wasen't healed from his knee injury a few years ago. Plus he was due a big bonus that would count aganist the Dolphins salary cap

Randy Moss made Culpepper better than he was in MN. Injuries and lack of production.

Thought his knees would keep him from being productive

They needed to continue the search for more quarterbacks that will do nothing in their career...and they succeeded.
