Yea! and let me tell you....it was rough in the beginning. We came from such different cultural backround that it was not easy trying to see eye to eye, we had different views and values it just didn't work out but now we are friends really close friends. And we get along much better this way. He's German And I'm a Latina.

Yeah I have, in public it wasn't really a big deal. I was in NC at the time and interracial relationships are pretty common there. The ones that do have a problem with it just stare at you like you have an arm growing out of your head. They are generally nonconfrontational. =)

I've been in a couple of interracial relationships.
The longest one I was in was for 4 years. It was in public, but we had to hide from my family because they are very prejudice. I would like to say that race didn't affect us and that everything was fine in that aspect, but because of my family's prejudices, our relationship was strained. When out in public, we didn't face that much discrimination. The most we got was dirty looks from older people around here (south Louisiana), who still think is wrong to mix races.
Another IR relationship I was in, we got the most dirty looks from black girls and some black guys. Many black girls feel that white girls are taking that men, or at least that's what I've been told.
So I guess depending where you are public reactions would different. I guess the most "looks" on my part came from older white people and my age black girls. On his/their part was from the same older white people and same age black guys (as if they were betraying their race or something).
But on the most part in public it really wasn't bad, either that or we really never noticed. It was the family that reacted the worse.

I'm white and I'm married to an Asian. I've been in quite a few interracial relationships. Everything goes well. Everything is fine in public...no different than being married to a white girl.

I have been in a few interracial relationships. It didn't work out, but not because of race. I didn't care about the public opinion of it.

Yes I'm in one now for the last 6 years. It's going great. The public can be very harsh at times but by now we're so used to it that it doesn't bother us any more, we only live for our selves and no one else!

i have a number of friends Jamaican women who have been going out with white Caucasian blokes from what i have seen there relationships are much the same as any other couple of the same race.In this day and age mixed relationships are far more accepted that they were say 20yrs ago.If two people love and care for each other irrespective of colour it shouldn't matter don't let prejudices stand in your way.

if you are in a relationship, then race shouldn't matter because there is mutual attraction. why would anyone wonder what anyone would think when they are with their b/f or g/f in "public"? if we both love each other, that's all that matters.
i am mixed, black and hispanic, so any relationship i get into will always be "interracial" and i wouldn't have it any other way! i love it!!!!

im 29, and i was a teenager when i had a few white guys that i was interested in, but one of them, i chose to go out with, and his parents were against it. we had to sneak around, and i couldnt deal with the pressure. we broke up after 8 months. where i live, most of the older white ppl didnt approve of it, but thats common. now that im older, looking back on how i dealt with things, i would do things differently now if i were to ever date a white guy because for one, we would be adults and wouldnt care bout what other ppl thought or said. just go with it ya know. screw what others think or say. if you love someone, color doesnt matter.

Hi,

Yes, with an Oriental Woman, the public did'nt bother me,
as it does'nt matter what anyone thinks, public or private.
And I would do it again anytime.
