some people are lonely even when they are in a relationship ,i think that is probably the loneliness place on earth,been to that place once before , don't want to go there again xxxx

We all need somebody, in some way or another. The loneliness comes when you have not accepted your purpose in life. We all have a reason for being, that is why we were created.

A man may be on a isthmus instead of an island in that he cuts himself off from large segments of the world and takes a narrow view of things.

I think that is exactly why "No man is an island"? If we were able to survive on our own, IE no friends or civil human contact, then we would not get lonely.

There are two problems. First Teachers/professors use many different translations of the Odyssey. Second, even knowing from teaching there is up to twenty minutes to get all your answers. A person wanting points can get 40 points voting on answers in 10 minutes. Spread them and you will get some answers.

I wonder if we really connect and open up at deeper levels than just talking about the politics, sports and weather or what we bought at the mall. I don't think a lot of people feel that they have some safe people that they can share their deepest thoughts, feelings and concerns with on a regular basis.
