I've eaten the "chinicuiles", wich are worms that grows and feed on the leaves of the maguey. This kind of food is originated in Hidalgo State in Mexico.
And finally i'll tell you about the "escamoles", wich are really delicious as well, those are the larvae of ants - literally. Escamoles are considered a delicacy and are sometimes referred to as "insect caviar".
So, if you ever come to Mexico, you have to eat this you can really enjoy it. This are just examples of unusual and delicious food you can taste over here!

I have eaten pigeon, rabbit and octopus. If I am honest I didn't mind the taste of any of them, until I knew what I had eaten, YUK, I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food and would never knowingly eat an animal I thought was cute or nasty!
