Hi All,

I'm massive, heavy, like a whale, my skin is pale and breaks out in spots, I haven't dyed my hair in months - it is thick and crap looking............. I feel like a breast instead of a 'glowing' pregnant woman.

I'm tired constantly and can't sleep due to position of baby, and it always starts kicking at midnight.

My toddler is militant and trashes the house all day, i have to bend down and pick everything up etc......................

help me............................ I need words of encouragement before I go bananas!!!

Sophia

oh me me me .. i am 37 weeks today... i cant walk properly anymore, takes me 2 minutes to walk to the bathroom, baby seems to be pressing down on my ar*e lol. I get out of breath walking for 30 seconds. Everything i eat gives me heartburn, i still have occasional nausea.

Turning in bed is AGONY!! everything hurts - inside legs, under bump and back.

I have a 22 month old toddler too and she is a mess making machine.. she has wrecked my cds and dvd collection, all the dvds are missing.. her toys are EVERYWHERE....it takes me a day to pick everything up and once i am on the floor it takes me 30 mins to get back up

and she poos like 4 times a day (sometimes) so i have to throw that in the mix. Her poos are pungent and can set off my nausea and vomiting

sometimes i have BH contractions like twice in 5 mins ... and they hurt...

when i finish peeing and stand up its like i never even peed - i need to go again. I pee about 5-6 times a night!

as for number twos, they are non existent!

YES I CAN RELATE TOTALLY... I WANNA GET THIS SHOW ON THE DAMN ROAD

(SINGING, waving candle )

"you are not alone, i am here with you ..."

firstly i wanted to say i love your name - that's the name i picked out for a little girl if i do in fact have another! Anyway, i know what you are going thru - both of my pregnancies, especially when i was pregnant with my daughter i was so freekin ugly i couldn't stand to look at myself. I was over 200 (started at 115), pimples, couldn't tan, and my roots were unbearable! I was not one of those woman who jog until the day they go into labor - nor was i a happy, glowing pregnant woman. My pregnancies were terrible and i felt like i wanted to just hide for like the whole thing and then a few months after too! The only thing i can say is hang in there and remember what you will get after all this hell - a wonderful baby to keep you up all night LOL! Just teasing, but you will get a wonderful baby. The last few weeks i would walk around and sleep with the outfit the baby was gonna come home with and smell it and imagine i was thin and holding my perfect baby! That's about all i could do to keep myself sane. Oh, and get a pedicure - but be careful cuz those things can trigger labor so tell them to stay away from the heal, i think.
Wishing you sanity and a peaceful, short labor!

Oh Sophia! I sympathise with you so much! I'm 37 weeks, it's 6 a.m. and I've been awake most of the night. This is my first baby, so I don't have a toddler to worry about. My little one also starts kicking around midnight, or whatever time I choose to go to bed!

I'm stressed too, I'm huge with ankles like a Rhino, hair like an oil slick and my skin looks like a spotty teenager's!! I am due to go in to be induced a week on Thursday and I have nothing ready for the baby, due to ordering EVERYTHING from one shop and it has been delayed (I live on a small Greek island, everything has to be shipped here), I don't have a cot, pram, baby bath or even car seat, NOTHING!! I have to travel 4 hours by boat to get to the other island where I will give birth, find a hotel to stay in, go to the doctor who will give me a pessary to bring on labour 2 weeks early and I am terrified!!!

Don;t go bananas, there are others who feel just like you, in a few weeks it will all be over and we will have our little bundles of joy (and sleepless nights, sore nipples etc...)

Good luck and try to relax,, hope it all goes well for you xx

i've been there, done that! i was pregnant with my 2nd and my 3 yr old son always trash the house and im the only one in the house that cleans up and have to pick up everything he throws around. I know how u feel. Plus I had SPD which caused me a lot of pain and discomfort. I was so fed up and I think it just got me stressing because i went into preterm labor at 33 weeks, 34 weeks and 35 weeks. At 35 weeks the dr n nurses didn't wanna stop the contractions this time so I gave birth to a 35 weeker. And u're at full term already so u only have a lil bit of time left to go. don't worry! u;ll be fine

I'm 36 weeks now and have a 6 yr old at home. I'm just counting the weeks now, but when you feel at times when you can't take it anymore, just lay on your side with a pillow between your legs and relax. Bending down all day picking things up will make you so much mored tired. Try and prepare your toddler for the baby and see if he/she will help clean up. Not sure how old he/she is, so this may not help you, but ask for help from family if you get too stressed. It's almost time, and it'll all be worth it. Hang in there. There are times I feel like I'm just going to bust, and then I just massage my belly and switch from one side to another lying down.

Hi,

I'm 34 weeks pregnant and its my first. I can't imagine what its like to have a toddler on the go as well as being heavily pregnant, you must be like superwoman!!

I feel extremely heavy and unattractive but I know it'll be worth it in the end. The main thing that I'm worried about is getting something that big out of a hole that small!!!

I get frustrated that my baby kicks all hours of the day as well as night, although at night seems to be the worst of all. I'll just drop off to sleep and it'll kick and punch me as though its the best thing in the world! I have to get up to pee every other hour too, so rest is a no go, pretty much!

Well, theyre not exactly helpful words, but at least you know your not in this alone, there's plenty of us out there!!

Hey there, I'm 40 weeks today! I went overdue with my other 2, had to be induced, and dreading the same thing happening this time! But its not all bad, try to take these last few weeks to enjoy time with your little militant! hard as it may be, things like swimming are much easier on your body and your little one will probably really enjoy it! Also saves picking up all those toys!...i sympathise with you :)
oh and also a little trick i've learned is to add 2 weeks onto your due date, so count down 5 weeks from now, then you won't be so gutted if 3 weeks comes and goes! good luck!

I know exactly what you mean! i delivered at 38 weeks and was 3 centimeters dialated for about 2 weeks before. all i did was sit around the house and watch tv because my back hurt, i was exausted (even though i didnt do anything) and moving was like a chore.! just try to hang in there this is the time where your just waiting on the edge of your seat for the arrival! but it will come soon! also i didn't lose my mucus plug until after i was well into labor and in the hospital! so dont worry, it could come anytime! congrats and good luck!

Hi, I am 38wks on Wednesday, and have just caught the worst cold in the world off my daughter, who is 4, full of snot and quite frankly horrible today. Add that to my constant pubic area ache, my constant heartburn and baby kicking at inappropriate times, and yes, right now I feel like crap.
BUT, in around 2 weeks, we shall have new baby and it'll be alright, and we'll wonder what all this fuss was for!!

Put your feet up when the little one is in bed and get some good quality chocolate and a massage off an understanding partner!!

Best of luck to you hun. xxx

I am about 38 weeks almost 39 weeks.
With my first.. You should talk to your toddler and ask him or her to pick they own stuff up.. doesn't matter what age they are unless they still under age of 2.
At any age of toddler they should understand r learn how to clean up they mess they made.
Ask your family to come help you with toddler.
You almost there.

My baby doesn't wanted to come early. My baby kick all the time..
and my baby kicks at night too when we are sleeping.. I know how that feel.

I think as long as you think when baby is out is health and seeing nothing is wrong with baby. You would be happy..

So hang in there. just few more days to few more weeks..
