I had it with my first child. It may be an indication that the hormone levels in your blood are slightly elevated, but not significant enough to determine a pregnancy. When you go back to have the test repeated the levels should be high enough to give a conclusive answer. I was 5 weeks when I had the "inconclusive" results and when I went back there was no problem. Good Luck!!

It may be that you a very low level of HCG, like 6 or 7, so that's why it's inconclusive. It needs to be above 5 to be positive, but if it's too low they will want to re-test. Sometimes a fertilized egg will begin to implant but then not go through with it so the HCG levels will be only slightyl elevated. They want to give you a definitive answer.

i have not had this happen to me but ihave heard of it happening. It is possible that there was not enough hcg present to make a decision. Waiting a couple of days is probably best because it does not take hcg long to build up because it doubles so fast

I know I had a blood test done, as well as an ultrasound, and they still thought I may be pregnant, but I wasn't. There is something in my endometriosis, but I have to go back to find out still. It looked like a sack of fluid.

I've never heard of an inconclusive blood test. The HCG is either in your blood, or its not.

It sounds more like the lab made a mistake.
