What was the real meaning of life for the man Jesus?
How did He saw mankind?
Did He give mankind hope?
Did He give mankind up?
Why did He die?
Now if you have read above it'l be simple to get the equation resolved.
We humankind were wandering without North totally lost in darkness towards destruction no salvation at all no hope no meaning.
God sends Jesus and humankind still gets lost.
That's a paradox!
Answering finally your question:
The reason and meaning of life is to get prepared for the eternal promised life and city to come which Jesus said He would prepare.
Otherwise if you don't get yourself prepared you're living dead, a truly a zombie.

I like to believe in an "angel" being, but don't think it's on earth, no materialistic things. Some other dimension where there is an ultimate peace to watch over loved ones.

Rather than "meaning" (as in definition) let me try to propose an answer to "what s the real purpose of life?".
I believe that our life is part of the creation of God which is still on going. By allowing us "free will" God has invited each one of us to continue to create ourselves throughout our lives into better beings.
I realize that this is but one perspective, and I hope it helps.

its a movie by monty python lol the meaning of life is to live each day to its fullest and remember the ones you love , family is forever but friends come and go , so just remember at the end of the day ur the one who has to live with your choices, and suffer the consiquences. so basicly be true to urself and love those that will always love u

there is no real meaning to life. other than what it means to you and that you feel that you are living it to the fullest. giving everything your all and not cheating yourself. because in the end you are the only one who can answer for yourself and will remember it all. make the most of it and enjoy it. youre worth it.
