I had an injection last wednesday for me to start back my periods and ovulation. My obgyn said that i shoul start sometime this week. Has anyone ver had this injection? All i know is that it is no birth control because it is just an injection to restart your periods.

You got the injection because you are not ovulating. I have never had it... I have never been on birth control or had infertility issues. But if you don't start your period soon maybe there is something else your doctor can do.

never heard of any injections given to induce a cycle, but I have heard of provera and did it as well, provera is a pill that is taken for 5-10 days then after the last pill u can expect to get a period 5 days or more.

it isn't an injection to start your period its an injection to get you to ovulate. About 12-14 days after you ovulate you will have your period. There are many different types of meds that do this.

I have known a couple girls who needed it after getting off of the Depo shot, it came back kinda rough for both of them, so just be a little prepared. But they did become regular after a couple months if that helps.
