Okay so this November I am applying early decision for my first choice college. Another college I like I want to apply to as well.Can I apply to the other college regular decision?

These people have no idea what they are talking about. You may only apply to one school under the early decision plan. At the same time, you may apply to rolling admissions schools and other schools for regular decision. If you get accepted to your early decision school, you must withdraw your applications to the other schools.

Check to see what the specific terminology is. Some schools, like Duke, use early decision, which is binding. Some, like Yale and MIT, use single choice early action, which means you may only apply to one school early, but your acceptance is not binding.

You can apply to the other college regular decision. Early decision just means that you are sending in your application earlier than the rest of the applicants. You have no obligation to go to any school just because you applied for early admission.

You can apply to the other college. However, if the first one accepts you for early decision, you have to go there.

Yes, early decision doesn't mean you are selling your soul to the first college. It basically would mean that if it's the college you wish to attend you are already in it prior to when most people are accepted into colleges.
