what engine does your vehicle equip with?

with out any outside visible leak on your engine then there are 2 possible cause.

3.4L V6 engine the lower intake manifold gasket leaking internally. Replace with Fel Pro impoved gasket set.

3.8L V6 engine upper intake manifold (black plastic) leak internal due to high heat from EGR system. Replace the manifold with aftermarket Dorman upper intake manifold.

This is a common problem on chevy V6 engine.

Ok, if you have the 3.4L V6 (3400) do this... Check your oil. Is it milky? If so, you're leaking coolant into your engine. Check to see if the level is unusually high. If it is, you're leaking coolant into the engine. Odds are your lower intake manifold gasket is leaking and will need to be replaced. You will need to do this immediately, because coolant or water mixed in the oil will destroy your engine from the inside out. You'll want to either replace the gaskets with a FelPro set or the updated GM gaskets. The new GM ones are all black, that's how you'll know they're the new design, not the faulty old design. If you're running your car and it's getting very hot, you're going to run the risk of warping the heads or block, which will end up costing a ton to get fixed.

When I had this done I flushed the cooling system and the engine to make sure it was cleaned out. It's not an easy job, but if you have the right tools and have some mechanical skill it is doable. For more information on this issue, check out the links below.

You probably have a small coolant leak somewhere on the engine that is burned off rapidly so you don't see a wet spot. The water pump weep hole might leak also. And hopefully you do not have an engine gasket that leaks coolant into the engine cylinders. Sometimes a coolant system pressure test will show up the leak. Keep topping off the coolant and eventually either the leak will seal itself or it will get bad enough to find easily. You could try adding some Bar's leak to the radiator to plug the leak.
