I'm noticing that instead of cheering for the teams people like, they would rather bash the teams, and especially the fans of the teams, that they DON'T like. Why is that? What's the point of jeering Cardinal, Met, Tiger, and Brewer fans (and others, of course) instead of bragging about the teams that won?
The point is that sports, baseball included, is full of people who are not well thought of. Barry Bonds, Gary Sheffield (an unfairly bashed guy), Milton Bradley, John McEnroe, Michael Vick, and so on. THEN, the fans act just like those guys. "In your face, Tigers. You suck." Why? Are we teaching our kids to be bad sports too? A little funning, sure: "Hey, Met fans, Phillies win!" Okay. But the abuse, the name calling, the insulting, and on and on and on -- isn't that being just like Barry Bonds and company? Why is it such a good thing?

Frizzer -- I am a bit mystified. I have to admit -- I'm not sure what it is you're saying. This forum is FULL of nasty, baiting comments that shows a lack of sportsmanship. I'm concerned and am asking other's opinions. You got me stumped.

eek -- Yes, I have. So I deliberately taught my daughter sportsmanship. She is like many Cardinal fans -- able to cheer for her team and yet respect and even applaud the others. (We're NOT Cardinal fans, but the Card fans are the best in baseball.) I like the idea of parent being ticketed and or ejected. I'm so tired of these super wealthy jocks acting like super immature 5 year olds.
