I would like to bleach out my hair a little bit and add some color...unnatural color. Maybe a couple chunks of bright red, something like this...will this make it harder for me to find a job?
I'm not some crazy immature teenager or anything. I just like fun hair. Something different and vibrant.
I also have a very* small nose ring, should i take it out on job interviews?

I'm not the professional type, just looking into getting a job somewhere in a mall or department store. Nothing too professional, but i will have to be in the public more than likely.

It depends on what kind of job you are going for. For example, if you want to work at Hot Topic...nose rings and multi-color hair is a plus.
But unfortunately, in the business world...perception is reality, period. In order to deal with clients in other businesses, everything is kept conservative. So just look at what type of work you plan to be doing and go from there.

I would definitely NOT color your hair a bold color before a job interview, and I would definitely take our your nose ring. Even though I personally don't have a problem with this type of look, a higher up (management) who will be interviewing you will be looking for somebody "normal." (Not that you're abnormal, but if you go in with pink hair and a nose ring, they'll probably assume you're some punk kid who will show up late, call in sick frequently, etc. It's sad that so many people have to be so closed-minded... Anyway, like I said--I'd lose the nose ring (temporarily) and keep your natural color hair until AFTER you've gotten the job. Once you're hired, scan through the company handbook and find out their rules on hair color/grooming and body jewelry. If they're cool with it, put your nose ring back in and color away! If not, well--that's up to you. You can either quit and try to find a job that's more accepting of your physical appearance, or stay where you are and just live with your natural color hair and wear your nose ring only when you're not working.

It really would depend on the job you are looking for. Check out how the other employees look if you can. It is always best to be on the safe side at least until you get the job and find out if it would be a problem.
I am a hairdresser and sometimes I work as a casino dealer. I just get a modern haircut but keep the color simple since casino's don't like to hire anything that is distracting. You could always lighten your hair a bit and use those clip in colors from the beauty supply, that way if there is a problem you can just unclip them.

It would depend on the type of job that yo are applying for. The nose ring can stay as long as its not too obvious or you feel self-conscious about it during an interview. As for the hair...well that's a tougher one. It most likely would make finding a job a bit more difficult. But they can't outright not hire you because of it either. Hope this helps!

If you add bright colors, it may make it more difficult to get a job in a professional setting. Depending on the field you're going into. I dye mine a dark black/blue, but I'm in creative so I'm allowed a bit more leeway.
