No. The way to watch your computer images (and sound) is to ...
link your computer to the tv with a s-video cable (it follows that both computr and tv must have an s-video input)
link your computer sound output to the tv using a 3.5 in jack plug to whatever sound input you have on the tv....usually two rca phono sockets.
Then you (for preference) need to be able to switch between computer and tv or you will still have pic and sound on the computer. Most up to date video cards or drivers will let you do this.
then you can watch ANYTHING generated by the computer on your tv
