Not usually. If there is a medical problem with a patient he or she will usually be securely transported to the nearest hospital or a physician will be called in and the patient moved if it is needed. None of the hospitals like this I know of have a surgery room and the only way they'd be close is if the psych. was attatched to a reugular hospital.

no,pscyhiatric hospitals treat the mind not the body,nurses medical doctors can treat (self inflicted)injuries to a certain extent,same as prisons,surgery is done in hospitals.

sometimes a person cant be cured so they have to preform frontal lobotomys to help the patient......
