I was driving today when a black female attempted to cut in front of me, she almost ran me off the road. when i honked at her, she became irate, calling me a cracker and stating that she could kill my white ***. now if that was reversed, i would be on the news as a racist.

Because blacks have perfected "reverse racism". That's why.

No matter who uses racial slurs, they're unacceptable. Just as you feel that you would be on the news as a racist, many blacks that suffer the same treatment feel that it would easily be dismissed if the tables were turned. Here in the south, we as blacks are subject to this each day that we are alive. For example, this whole issue in Jena began because white kids didn't want black kids sitting under the "white" tree and hung nooses to try to scare them off. There were several instances with the white kids starting fights with the black kids to only get a slap on the wrist or no repercussion at all. One of the students even went into one of the local black neighborhoods alone and felt "threatened" enough to get his shotgun from his truck and additional ammunition and point it at the black young men. When one of these young men managed to wrestle away the gun, he ended up facing charges for assault and theft of a firearm. The guy that pulled the gun wasn't charged at all. We still live in a time of racism, only there is more of an attempt to cover it these days. Although we are faced with racist people all of the time, we can't let their ignorance cause us to be as ignorant as them.

Actually, you seem to assign yourself more importance than is realistic. Either way this would hardly have made news. Just because a black person was racist to you hardly means it is not equally racist when the slurs come from a white person. The news from Louisiana is far more detailed and serious than name calling. It has been a case of justice denied for one race for a long time. Hardly the same situation.

The Spanish term for someone who is a mix between white, black, and American Indian is Zambo or Cafuzo. I have European and Native American ancestry but I classify myself as black but sometimes jokingly I will say "I'm bwindian"

first off there are various hand signs that are universally understood without having to resort to slurs or upset any children you may have in the car. secondly do you really think that being called a cracker carries the same stigma as being called a ni**er? not likely. there are still lots of words left in the english language that you can use without having to sware let alone use slurs. it really does sadden me to think that telling someone to "@&%$ OFF!!" is the best we can do in the way of insults. next time you want to tell someone off without emotionally scarring your child just tell the person that they should really pull the doctor out the colonoscopy is over and let them figure it out

Well it is NOT OK! It is an easy cop out to yell a racial slur at someone in the heat of the moment. It is far too easy for people to get angry and take all the days frustration out on the one person. I find it sad that in 2007 we still have to resort to such depredation. Believe you me I am not an appreciative driver of those who are not paying attention or do not wait to see if that driver behind you is going to let you in. Driving in rush hour which usually last several hours is hard enough without the coward in front, next to or behind you yelling racially based obscenities.
I would tell you to shake your head and have pity on those without a decorum of decency no matter what race they are...and what race they are trying to insult. I know and all of us know there are racist on ALL side of the human rubics cube. Even within each of our races there is racism. i know that my opinion that that lady was WRONG will draw anger from some black people . But the joy of it is that I do not care.
Wrong is wrong. In order to hide her wrongful action of cutting another driver off she resorted to racial slurs and threats when he protested her actions.
IT is wrong to do it. It is wrong to set this as en example for your kids. It is wrong to elongate the tension we have been trying to bury for 100 years!
I hope you take to light that this one woman does not represent the majority....I hope
I personally TRY to let people in or if I see someone coming up in the next lane I just slow a bit because it is not worth it to get myself upset and it is so easy to do in traffic.
Ignore her and good luck!!

and the fact that she, to hide her action

It's not all right for anyone, no matter the race, to call someone a derogatory term. It's deflammatory whatever the scenario.
More people should bite their tongue, look past race and just deal with the situation at hand

That's the typical face of racism in this country and for people to say different is racist. That's how they control the believers. That's how they perpetuate their racist lies. They cover up her bad behavior as just road rage. And if you responded in kind you'd be the racist.
