The 360 is having some poeblem wich they refuse to realize. The failure rate is over 33%. Why cant the govt make Microsoft to call out the product?

Halo 3 is in the same way.

This may look to be a video game question, but is actually about wether or not MS can be sued or forced to recall

You can sue them. Sure. But you probably won't get anywhere. You can not force a recall just because a product breaks. Generally there has to be some kind of safety hazard for that to happen.

You say MS refuses to realize they have big problems. That's just not true. They recently extended all 360 warranties to 3 years for the red ring of death problem and are rolling out the next generation of 360s with improved processors and heat sinks that will run cooler and more reliably.

Halo 3 is not a bad product. The Limited Edition had issues with the packaging. They have said they will replace the disks. In my opinion they need a better system replacing them than they have got though.

No, it would not be practical. People's computers crash all the time, etc., but unless you can show that microsoft willingly tried to produce a faulty product, and deceive you, you will get nowhere.

You would probablly not be able to find an attorney to take this case anyway.

By the way, my 360 and Halo work flawlessly. We have played it hours on end without any problems.

You can sue anyone for anything at anytime. It doesn't mean you will win.

Try writing them a letter and really express your displeasure with their product. Be respectful and calm if you talk to them on the phone and ask for the product to be 'replaced or repaired'. If they say no.... write to them again and give them an ultimatum that states either they fix it or you are going to bring a small claims lawsuit against them. Keep copies of all your letters, send the letters by registered mail so they have to sign for it to recieve it.
