Nope.
Nope.

I actually never thought I'd live past 30, what with being an ex-junkie and having some congenital health problems. So I never planned for a future.
But now I own my home, have a semi-decent job, have friends and buddies to hang with, have kitties to keep me company and have a closet full of sneakers!
Other than dealing with bouts of suicidal depression, my life is better than I ever could have imagined.

My life is not what I imagined and still imagine it to be. Growing up I wanted to join the Army, go to school become a nurse and travel. What am I doing now?

I am raising my son alone (wouldn't trade that for anything), I have a job I enjoy nowhere near the medical field, I havent traveled too far. Florida and a few states not far from home. My biggest trip will be to Alaska. If I am not married by the time I turn 40 I am taking myself there. If I am married then I am going there for my honeymoom. I need to have a guy in my life first dont I?

But I am happy with my life, I jsut wish it wasnt so far off from what I imagined it to be.

at age 8 I imagined I'd be divorced w/ kids.....true
at 15 I figured I'd have 1 child and go where I wanted, when I wanted.....so glad THAT didnt happen!
at 24 I thought I'd be trapped in a marriage I didnt want forever.....see above
at 30 I just wanted to get out of my marriage and find a good woman to love....I did
at 40 I thought I'd live with and love the woman I found forever.....nope, didnt make it beyond 7yrs
now at 42 I'm back at the thoughts I had at age 8...I just want to be single and have my kids......

It's not all what I envisioned it would be. I'm not very happy, but still very much hopeful. This is the kind of question that people should take the time to respond best. I sure would like to get back to this question. Perhaps later today.

i've got so far in where i want to go career wise that i just can't get to grips with it. for somebody who came from a poor, single parent background and dragged my way to get my qualifications and worked in some s*itty jobs i've got extremely far. i was the girl in maths who wouldn't do her homework and coursework and now i'm a super intelligent and artistic nerd. strangely i still feel like the same person and i still have the same friends. it was my dream to do this and i've got far already. once i get my degree i'm gonna go drama school for a post degree course and make my break. I WILL MAKE IT!!

Oh no, not even close...but I'm happy with it. I would make changes but for the most part, it's good.
