Erm... Everyone - the Lib Dems are a BRITISH political party - The Liberal Democrats (led by Menzies Campbell).

from where i stand they are all! one party. we should vote the lot of them out by voting between ukip and the British National Party. new labour are nothing short of dictators.

It is funny how some did not read the question even when BRITISH was emphasized. Liberal Democrats is one of several political parties in UK isn't it? Each gains and loses strength as time marches on.

Why should we give up? The Pendulum is swinging our way, much like it did in the 30s upon the Republican Great Depression. People figure out your economics don't work, then they become Dems. It happens every few decades. Republicans break the bank, Progressive ideals put things right again.

the other parties are just a joke - i'd rather have the Monster Raving Looney Party in power instead of those ignorant idiots, also known as the Conservatives or any other right-wing (lunatic) party.

LOL! Regarding the election? Of course the underdogs wish the Democrats would just give up, it's going to be humiliating for them. Regarding the war? They'll never give up, but all they can really do is try and minimize the damage until a Democratic President is elected in to clean up Bush's mess.
