I am noticing dark specs on my vinyl siding. There are very many small specs(circular) close together. They are dark in color but very light in pigment if that make since. You can't see them unless you get close to the siding. I pulled some of the siding back and there is nothing on the interior. It is all on the exterior. I have been looking online for pictures of mold but everthing I see online is very dark comparted to what I see on mine. It looked like it was just dirty to start with but now I can tell it is not just dirt. Does this look like mold? or something else?

Might check a marine supply or camper RV store for mildew removers & retardants & see if they are safe for vinyl.
Pretty sure the siding cleaners as mentioned do not contain strong bleaches which can cause it to go brittle.
Had a boat & have vinyl siding that gets a little mossy in places & use a siding cleaner & power washer.
No kidding, it could also be spider poop In which case a good washing will do.
Best regards

It could be mold if it is on a side of the house that does not get full sun all day. You can clean it with siding cleaner that has a mildew deterant. Best to use a pressure washer for quick results.

Living in a humid climate - my place gets some light mold on one side of the vynal siding. A freinds' suggestion of using 'Krud Kutter' and a scrub brush, rinsing with water- cleaned all of it from the vynal easily - also worked great on cleaning the front porch off.

I didn't think mold could grow on vinyl siding. But if you wash with a bleach solution and it disappears, then it's mold.

Tilex is stable yet while utilising exterior that is going to possibly kill any plant or grass it lands on. Or evaluate in basic terms renting a means washer. No chemical compounds yet rigidity can clean such as you will not have confidence.
