As an adult, probably The Ring. I woke up in bed one night about a week after watching it, and the moon was full and the whole bedroom was in black and white from the moonlight. There was something long and black (think her hideous hair) hanging at the foot of my bed. I screamed out loud and my boyfriend sat up and turned on the light and I sort of slumped back in bed and said, "Nothing, sorry."
The next morning I was forced to tell him that the closet door had swung open during the night and the 'hair' was my black bathrobe hanging on the peg inside the door...
He got such a kick out of telling everyone we knew for at least 2-3 weeks after that. Big fool, me...
As a kid: The Fog, (original) Halloween, The Changeling, Dawn of the Dead, The Exorcist

There are so many good, scary movies out there! When I was younger; The Exorcist, Alien. Recently...I don't see a lot of movies in the theaters, I just wait for the DVD, but I did see The Grudge...that little kid and the girl with the hair really freaked me out! As I watch it again now and after seeing Grudge 2, it seems no where near as scary but I still remember that day in the theater! :-O

A 1980s horror flick titled "Demons". I was only 14. After watching that movie, I couldn't go to sleep every single night without the lights on for a whole six months.

Halloween (the original).
I liked Candy Man too. I remember thinking, "What nonsense" as I strolled into the bathroom to stare in the mirror and say, "Candy Man" and then "Candy Man." Then I couldn't bring myself to say it the 3rd time. LOL

Moth Man Prophecies.... my sister freaked me out about how it was based on a true story & she swore she was seeing "things" that she thought was the Moth Man!! She wouldn't walk from her car to her apartment without someone with her for a while.
& we were very young when we watched Candy Man, but she wouldn't let me leave the room to piss! She literally tackled me (crying) and made me hold her hand while we walked downstairs. BTW, she's 2 years older than me.
I don't scare easily from movies, but her fear was always contagious.
