Call me a cynic if you like, but I am very suspicious of this, especially as the Pensions Agency has some input. Could it be some ground work in putting up the pensionable age or some such plan?

I'm sure most Pensioners would prefer to have their pensions restored to keep up with the rate of inflation and not be given increases of 75p per week. The pensions have been reduced in value since the days of Mrs Thatcher and further eroded by the present Government, it is time they were restored to the proper level, that's the best way to celebrate for Older People.

I have not heard of this. I did go to the Internet to do a bit of research. Sounds interesting.
