Absolutely not. Honesty is not mans most important virtue.
His honesty after all is only based on his TRUTH, and his truth can be dead wrong. It is not even classified as a virtue.

The seven virtues are: chastity, abstinence, liberality, diigence, patience , kindness and humility

You can pick one of those in your relationship with another human being as the most important. For me, they are all important.

Humility , for example would easily be number one, Modest behavior, giving respect to his fellowman, gives credit when credit is due, not glorifying ones self.

I think that man's attempt at honestly is an important virtue. Unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion that everything that I think I know is based on my interpretation of my perception. Both of which are subject to inaccuracy. I know one thing and one thing only. Regarding your additional statement honestly is addressed in one of "The Big Ten".....Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

i think honesty is imprtant from a man cuz its not often found. like a 4 leaf clover is so cherished and thought to be lucky. its not something that can be summed up in so many words, but its important cuz its something that u really cant live without (honesty). but thats not limited to men either. i expect honesty from my friends as well cuz its trust and trust is the foundation to any relationship. good luck.
