1. There have been high level talks with Mexico and Canada about this.

2. Yes, Clinton does hold some responsibility, but Bush's policies regarding NAFTA and the borders are of the same mold. If Hillary is elected, you can expect more of the same. This is a long term goal and is meant to keep North America competetive with European Union and Russia China. Bigger things are playing out behind closed doors than you will ever hear about on the nightly news.

3. I'm not supporting illegals here..but simply trying to make a point. If such a union is in the planning and does get implemented - you can forget about closed borders. All the time, money and effort to deport 12M illegals will be wasted.

Well, we can still deport the illegals that are here. If we don't allow them to work, don't provide them with licenses or health care, I am pretty sure there is no reason for them to come back even if the borders are wide open. Good question my friend.

Looks like it was started by bill clinton to me. The rest of the legislation has been from republicans insuring our border safety, including president bush. This is from your link.

Executive Order: "Commission for Environmental Cooperation, Commission for Labor Cooperation, Border Environment Cooperation Commission, and North American Development Bank," White House, March 16, 1994. Signed by President Bill Clinton
Aviation and Transportation Safety Act of 2001 (S.1447) became Public Law 107-71 on November 19, 2001.

Illegals are criminals and should be deported.

It could happen after the war on terrorism is won.

It is also Al Qaeda's goal.

The point of deporting illegals aliens is similar to the point of jailing felons or executing murderers. It punishes the guilty, restores order, and provides a deterent.

In the case of deportation, it removes illegals who should not be in the country, punishing those who break the law and detering others in the future from breaking those same laws. Whether it does so adequately is debateable, but I think it would be reasonable to start with deportation, and move on to jail time, corporal, and capital punishment only when it proves insufficient...

The North American Union will never happen, America will not stand for an assault on our sovereignty. As the NAU gains notoriety America will be united against it and the politicians will scrap the idea, like the idea of the draft to supply troops for Iraq they floated the idea and the public said NO so they just tabled it and never brought it up again.

Bush doesnt want to deport them. In fact on this point and the war the majority of our leaders are against the will of the people.

Does Canada and Mexico know this? I don't think they want to be saddled with the mess Bush made. Besides, he isn't going to deport all the aliens, no matter what he spouts, as his GOP cronies won't want to clean their own houses, do their own gardening and raise their own children.

I agree, Fine all employers 10% of their gross revenue for each illegal employed. And, if there is Social Security fraud going on with them, hold the employers has accessories.

You don't have to deport them.

Fine the people who hire them into bankruptcy and there would be no jobs for them.

No jobs for them, they will go home on their own dollar.

It's like the drug war. Yo udon't go after the users (illegals). You go after the dealers (employers).
