I don't remember every lash, punch or kick,
but I do remember every word he said while doing it.

Well there both pretty bad, but if your being mentally abused you need to seek help. I'm sure that you've done nothing wrong, more than likely the abuser was abused, so they don't really know how to handle the situation unless they are abusive. Most of the time if your being mentally abused, the next thing will be physical abuse. Seek consoling, you need to get to the bottom of the problem.

By and large mental...well if you physically abuse a person it has of course mental repercussions as well. All around the mental abuse is more scarring and long-term, people don't easily get over that.

Mental abuse. I would rather be beat then to have someone do to me what my husband did before we seperated. I could tell you about it but it would take too long.
I loved him and he just did not deserve me.
I think about it a lot because it seems I draw men who are dirt bags and use me.
I have a really good job and make a lot of money, but by the time you reach 43 yrs old,,, all the good men are taken and I am single now with no one who really cares about me except to play games and screw with my head.

They're as bad as each other. Physical abuse will always affect you mentally/emotionally too.

I think both are just the same, sometimes people never forget it, it's placed in there minds by memories. Healing and cursing. Both are still in the mind, never forget. Make something else to be happy for.

Mental has its long- term side effects. . . . . sometimes lifetime. Psychological/emotional baggage can even coz cancer, skin diseases, heart diseases, alcoholism, drug abuse, etc. Negative emotions are toxic. We should always learn to let go & forgive.
