Lol. A question after my own heart.

I also get annoyed when dining at darkened restaurants and I cannot read the menu in size 9 or 10 fonts nor enjoy looking at the food I am eating. But that is me. Others just put up with the discomfort and forget the experience as soon as they step out of the place. They forget that they have to put the menu to their noses against the tealight candle that almost singed their hair.

Light and purity ? Heck with that. I just need to see if the lettuce is very fresh in my salad.

Darkness is never more romantic than the light and the truth of Love from another or from God........

When things are dark like love for example it can only really hurt the people around that are involved in that great love. Dark Love Dark lies Dark secrets in the end when brought out to the light are not so romantic be careful what you do not know can hurt you and that is a fact!!!To love with all purity of heart is a beautiful thing how many people can say they do this when their entire life is a lie I know people like this and they are pathetic !!!!

Some find romance in the hard task of saving someone from themselves, so they are attracted to the dark soul with many hurts and lashings. They are often under the misapprehension that the Dark One wishes to be saved. I myself enjoy the redemptive dark characters in books; the ones who do not redeem themselves are often taken care of by serendipity and the formula of the piece--their beauty lies in the way they are used in the resolution and has nothing to do with their darkness.

To take an example from a book series many enjoy (Harry Potter), it is the difference between the Dark turned to Light and the Dark lost to persistent Death and Fear. Severus Snape or Voldemort? Snape turned from the Death Eaters and yet retained the dark demeanor, and Snape has loved in his life, whereas Voldemort loves none more than himself and will stop at nothing to retain all power for himself at the expense of lives. He cannot love. If you met them on the street, I suspect many women would be utterly charmed by Voldemort (well, before he became snakelike, that is), while they would be put off by the unpleasant character and demeanor of Snape. There is danger is being unable to discern true darkness from that which is merely a result of the "many slings and arrows" the soul is heir to.

I don't know about truly more romantic but darkness is much more enticing. It is the forbidden, the mysterious, the rebellious, the wicked that is truly more tempting than anything else. Yet, in the end - the darkness is just that and it is ultimately painful and lonely.

Like they say - if the devil were to appear in human form...he would be the most gorgeous one of us all.

I can't speak for every one, but I personally feel more alone in the dark than I do in the light. So, whenever it's dark, or dimly lit, I want to be in the arms of my lover so she can provide me with the comfort that I lost when the lights went out.

darkness is the only thing most people are familiar with. Home is where the heart is.

Love blinds a person to another's imperfections, so does darkeness.

People are reluctant to expose themselves to the light because they fear their imperfections. Judgements exist in the full light of awareness and we are afraid that we'll be found to be imperfect.

Death so Scenic. Life so Scenic. What's sounding better? I think it is due to the fact that is the poetry of art.
