I wouldn't put to much into the general forecast you read on line or in the newspaper, those I like to read at the end of the day to see how if what they said came true. But if you go to a site or have an astrologer do a forecast for the year according to your personal info, that's different, then yes I think those are more real, and you could go by what those say.

Astrology is absolutely genuine.

Not every astrologer does 'forecasts'.

I can't answer for what anyone 'should' do on anything, but I feel that if you are interested it would be good to learn astrology and then decide for yourself.

Good luck.

My data base is rooted in statistical analysis of astrological aspects. What that means is, as example 100% of the people with sun in leo or gemini and mercury in cancer have freckles. This is just one of many things that are always true based on astrology. Most others astrology is based on their own whim. Mine is based on scientific analysis using a particular type of self sorting statistics. Of course this does not often agree with the whim of most astrologers. On the other hand it is very accurate, greater than 85% of the time it is right on. Some factors like the freckles hit every time. So to really answer your question one must also know who they ask about astrology. The whim and fancy group often are in error, greater than that 85% of the time. My data base hardly ever is wrong. It is important to know the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and rising sign to make a meaningful analysis of a particular persons aspects or, more importantly, how two people will see each other. FYI- the rising sign is the primary factor controlling mate attraction. I.E. if someone is earth sign rising, that person will be attracted to Sun in earth people. This list grows long. In reverse this is a good way to determine someones rising sign. If a person always goes for sun water then the person is a water sign rising, like President Bush is cancer rising and not as commonly incorrectly believed leo rising. Indeed the entire US administration has dominant cancer aspect in every person, either moon mercury or rising. Am working on a book to cover all common factors of astrology. Until then astrological reference is only available from the whim crowd. Do not believe anything, set up and test premise and results and truth will be revealed.

There are different levels of it. The daily horoscopes in newspapers are hogwash. Even people who read predictions for wrong signs find them as accurate as the real ones. books from drugstores are not much better. I studied at a good school, so I know the most mature level of astrology. I am checking the accuracy of charts I do for people. i am a skeptic.

what are the chances that a human being falls upon one of the twelve zodiac signs? what if there are a million different zodiac signs? I've always wondered that. How could people in the past - which such a low IQ- know all this stuff. Despite that; just go to an astrology site and 3/4 of all people whom read their horoscope will say : "Gosh, that is sooo me!!"

I don't really put too much credit in "horoscopes". However, astrology can be no differant than the way the moon can control the tides of the ocean, so stars can have some sort of effect of the mood or personality of people

Depends on who your astrologer is. But if you're reading it in a magazine, newspaper, no. It's garbage just made up to make money. Think about it. If you're sick, for example. Are you gonna go to a specialsist, a real doctor?, or are you gonna read some health article in a magazine?

Astrology can and has been tested. It does no better than chance.

Edit: Sometimes Mhiaa says it depends on the astrologer and sometimes she says it's simply math that anyone can do. Does one need to see a "specialist" or can a cheap calculator do the job. Once again where is the evidence?

I believe in "self-fulfilling prophecy". that is where you hear something and then (conscience or not) you make it happen because that is what you think will happen. So they are only true when you believe in them. Otherwise you might as well take and put all the results on a board and throw darts at it to "discover" how your day will be.
