Two seasons ago, I saw a doubleheader between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Philadelphia Phillies. It was a LOT of fun especially since the Phils beat the D-backs in both games. :-D

Many, MLB used to schedule the doubleheader throughout the season for all teams in the 1960's and 70's. It gradually disappeared when travel became easier on the ballplayer.

For mlb, I've only seen a doubleheader on tv.

(In person) Actually, yeah...I used to get free Yankee tix from someone at my old job...and I remember a couple of years ago, I happened to get tix vs. Tamp Bay....I think consecutive games...Anyways one game got rained out, and coincidentially I happened to get tix for the day of the following game, while holding the tix for the initial game. So me and a friend managed to see the first game, go home after it ended and then return for the second game. BTW, they swept Tampa Bay so it was a real treat for us...

Yep ... A's v Brewers back in Aug 97 ... second date my wife and I went on ...
I figured if I could get her to go to 2 games in one day, I'd better marry her.
